Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Gingerbread Latte

Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? He does both. So do the pets for that matter.

Colored lights on tree/house or white? Colored. Though my tree has white lights.

Do you hang mistletoe? Nope. It's not good if the animals eat it...

When do you put your decorations up? Whenever we get the chance. We don't do a whole bunch, just the tree.

What is your favorite holiday dish? Christmas morning bubble cake!

Favorite Holiday memory as a child? Waking up and running downstairs to see the Christmas tree all lit up and millions of presents under the tree.

When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? 6th grade. I cried for days.

Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Nope, though my fiancée has a hard time waiting to give me presents so he tries to get me to open one every year.

How do you decorate your Christmas tree? With my 7 ornaments.

Snow, love it or hate it? Love love love love love it.

Can you ice skate? We don't have any indoor areas here so I haven't done it much in the last 10 years.

Do you remember your favorite gift? No, there were quite a few of them.

What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Trying to recapture that magical feeling when I was young.

What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? These butter cookies that are a huge pain in the ass to make. Or gingerbread cookies.

What is your favorite holiday tradition? Waking up in the morning to see how big the bubble cake has gotten. Plus I love shopping for and giving presents. I like to take the time to find the "perfect" gift for each person.

What tops your tree? We don't have one.

Which do you prefer giving or receiving? I love to get presents, but I also love seeing if I picked out the right thing for each person.

What is your favorite Christmas Song? Baby it's cold outside

Bad Combinations

In continuing to fight off this sinus infection and work through the holiday season, I have made an important discovery.
No matter how good it sounds, do not drink coffee, eat Christmas cookies, and take a new antibiotics. It may be one of the wost decisions ever...

Snow Snow Snow Snow

I'm having a really hard time thinking of things to write about today. Well, not just today, for the last several months, so I'll just tell you about my day. And the weather. It seems that it is now winter here in Montana. I love winter, and I love snow. So does Maki, you just can't tell from this picture... (though it does give you a good idea of how much snow we have had this week.)

Most of this snow fell the day before yesterday.

We just got back from doing some cross country skiing in the lovely 10 degree weather, and now the puppy is all tuckered out and sleeping on my BF Fiancée, who is currently watching a football game, which I find to be incredibly boring. (He keeps telling me that he wishes I would watch it with him because it's boring to watch alone... there's just no way I can watch it, it's like watching paint dry. Bleh)

My bright idea to go skiing today let me know that I am incredibly out of shape, from the tips of my toes to the end of my nose. Especially my feet. I had forgotten that it takes foot muscles to actually balance on the skis... Some of my friends want me to go tomorrow, but I think they may be at a higher skill level than I am right now, lol.

I am still slowly, but surely working on the post about getting engaged. I think I'm at the picture drawing phase. Maybe it will actually see the light of day. Then I can talk about all the things that suddenly happen when you get engaged, and all the questions that start happening. I had thought getting engaged would answer some questions, but it really seems to have done the opposite...
