Sometimes I forget that a glass of wine is more than enough...

And that leaves you with super lame posts like theses.
I wrote the section about a week ago, I just never posted it....
I was put on some antibiotics for the next five days, and right as I was turning to go the pharmacist dropped the following on me:
"Oh yeah, there is a reaction with alcohol with this medication. It can cause severe vomiting."
ok..... maybe that shouldn't have been mentioned as an afterthought...  it seems like something that you might want a girl to know. I'll admit, I don't have any benders in the plans, but it is the holidays and I do like silly drinks.
Oh well. Good thing that's over now as I am obviously not in my normal state of mind.
Beyond that, everything seems to be going pretty well here.  Just ignore my permastate of anxiety...
  • I sent out most of my save the date cards this week. Well, most of them anyway
  • I am thinking about giving myself a middle name when I change my name after the wedding. Surprisingly, government agencies do not like it when you don't have a middle initial. Neither do web forms... Fuck Yeah! I may go with either Mei or Cat. They both rock...
  • My fiance gave his notice at his job. (YAY) We aren't entirely sure what his next step will be, but it won't be 60 hours a week in a retail job.... Tomorrow is his last day. I sure hope that it won't be too long before he finds a super awesome job.... It would have been super awesome if his "for sure" job hadn't fallen through the Friday before Christmas....
I would type more, but honestly the laptop keeps trying to move away from me, and that is never a good sign of coherent posts. So, to save you the trouble of wondering, YES I will feel like crap in the morning....
My loyal and loving  soon to be unemployed fiance is making me go to bed........................ I will post more later................

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Remind me to tell you all about my new bridesmaid ..............................

The Wild Ways by Tanya Huff

The Wild WaysThe Wild Ways by Tanya Huff
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Synopsis
Following the events with Allie in the Enchantment Emporium, Charlie is drawn to the east coast and a Celtic music festival that is taking place. Aunt Catherine has once again set a trial for one of the Gale girls, and Charlie must decide how she will embrace her wild powers.
Review
First off, I really don't like the cover for this book, it looks like a throw back early 90's fantasy...
I was excited to read this after finishing the Enchantment Emporium, but felt that this book fell short of the first novel. It was not as engaging as the previous book, finding it hard to care about Charlie at all. I wish that she had been shown as a deeper character as opposed to a flighty one.

My Recommendation
It works well as a companion to the Enchantment Emporium, but won't be the best as a stand alone novel. I'm giving it a 3/5 - Rent it/Borrow it.
